Week 6 News

NGATIMOTI FESTIVAL  Thank you to all that attended the Festival meeting on Thursday last week, and welcome to Emma who has kindly taken on the task of running our silent auction . . ssh!  She will be looking for quality items and services to auction.  Also thank you to Martin Green for organising the kidzone.  He will need other mums and dads to join him in this huge task.  Time for a spring clean, the perfect opportunity to donate your quality clothes
and books, plant your pots out for Bridgit’s plant stall and think about making curries and soups to freeze.  All proceeds from donations like this will go directly to school.  We need someone to offer to run the shaved ice machine.  Training will be given and this will be a massive profit to us if the sun shines!  We also need donations of sheep or pigs for the spit.  Keep it up team! Please make yourselves known to Terri, who has plenty to offer out and needs your support. For questions on anything festival related contact Terri on 526 8771 or 0275268771 or bankees@gmail.com NEXT MEETING AT SCHOOL 1pm SEPTEMBER 10.  YOUR FESTIVAL NEEDS YOU!!

Week 4 Term 3 News

It was a real treat to be entertained by the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra yesterday. Here’s what some of our students had to say about it:

“I loved moving my hands really fast when I was conducting!” Manaia, Room 4

“It was happy music, they made musical sounds that made us laugh!” Room 4

“I liked the curly instrument played by the  man with the curly moustache the best, and  they played music from pirates of the Caribbean and The Simpsons that was very cool!” Charlie, Room 2
