 2010 NGATIMOTI FESTIVAL – 24 October

As you all know, last year’s festival was a huge success, raising more than $20,000 for the school.  This year Terri is standing down as festival co-ordinator so it is already time to start thinking about your role.  We invite all families to take part in some way and would like to take this opportunity to especially invite all our new families on board!  Call Terri on 526 8771 with any questions or for more information

NATIONAL STANDARDS & NGATIMOTI
The National Standards are in reading, writing and maths.  No doubt you have heard about these through the media!  At Ngatimoti School we already make student achievement a high priority.  For us, the testing is already in place.  Now we are required to report in writing twice a year about your child’s progress and achievement in relation to the National Standards.  We are also required to include what the school is doing and what parents can do in support.  If you would like to know more about the National Standards, they will be on display at the infomingle tomorrow, or you may like to look on the National Standards page at www.minedu.govt.nz
