About us
Situated 20km south of Motueka, Ngatimoti School sits alongside the Motueka River and faces the mountains of Kahurangi National Park. It's a peaceful, rural environment, where there is plenty of space.
Being a full primary school, we cater for students from year 1 to year 8 (form 2). We have a team of keen and experienced staff, and the resources and expertise to teach all areas of the curriculum. All students have access to computers and other up-to-date communications technology, and the school is able to use a high-speed computer network called The Loop to connect with other schools and the rest of the world.
We encourage parents to be involved in their children's education, and we often draw on the expertise and knowledge of others in our local community to enhance students' learning. Our school is a focal point for the community, and is well supported by it. The school is also fortunate to have the backing of an enthusiastic Board of Trustees and Parent Group.
- Our vision is to be a school of excellence. We aim:
- To create a caring, stimulating, enjoyable learning environment that enables children to become responsible, tolerant members of society.
- To develop their physical, social, emotional and intellectual potential.
To prepare them to accept and adapt to the challenges of life with confidence and feelings of self worth.
