The school Parent Group is a group of volunteer parents that work together with school staff and Board of trustees to provide a link between our children, the school and home. Our main aim is fundraising. In the past this has included teacher resources, book purchases, funding of school trips, sports equipment and visiting musicians/artists. We also run the Friday lunches, Guy Fawkes BBQ and, of course the amazing Labour weekend Festival! Parental input and support is important within our school. A general meeting and the AGM is to be held on WEDNESDAY 24 MARCH at 1pm for a chit chat and 1.30pm meeting start. I would encourage parents to please make some time to attend. The present committee of chairperson, secretary, treasurer and lunch co-ordinator are standing down this year so these positions all need people to step forward. Terri also needs a Festival co-ordinator for this October’s festival. If you have any questions or want to know more about how you can be actively involved in Parent Group, please don’t hesitate to contact me, Kath 526 8889.
